First organized in 2010, Recent Advances in Microbial Control (RAMC) is held biannually in fall of even years. The meeting is a forum for established industry leaders, entrepreneurs, academics and regulators to discuss new technologies and recent developments in controlling microbial activity in various applications, as well as to raise awareness about emerging scenarios that pertain to their safe and prudent solutions.

The meeting format consists of 4 days of non-concurrent sessions, a poster session, tabletop exhibit and group meals and receptions.
