Poster Information

Poster Basics

The poster board surface area is 4 feet high by 4 feet wide. There will be 2 posters per side of each 4 foot x 8 foot poster board. Larger posters may not overlap another. Failure to show courtesy to fellow presenters may result in removal of a poster.

Font on the poster should be easily legible at a distance of several feet. Graphs and figure legends should be short but informative.

Poster pins are available at the SIM registration desk. Please do not write, draw or paste on the poster boards.

Poster Session Setup and Schedule

Each poster session is three (3) hours in length. Authors should be available during that time to answer questions, expand on the material and take part in discussions.

Abstracts scheduled for poster session presentation will be grouped by topic. Dates for specific topics will be posted to the website.

Poster sessions will be held:
Monday, April 19   6:00-9:00 pm
Tuesday, April 20  6:00-9:00 pm

NOTE: Students who selected for the student awards in the applied and fundamental presentation categories will be judged onsite. Please stop at the registration desk to obtain an identifying decal for your poster.

8:30 am Registration begins.

10:00 am  Poster setup begins as soon as poster numbers are displayed on the boards. All posters must be displayed by 5:00 pm.

Locate your poster number in the author index of the meeting program. Your poster number will be posted on your board prior to setup.

12:00 Noon Poster teardown. All posters must be removed no later than 3:00 pm on Thursday or they may be discarded.
